CHAPTER XIII: 'RIDE 'EM'

SOON, the posse would RIDE 'EM, go after the baddies, catchem and stringem up and be home for dinner at the O.K. Corral, or the LongBranch Saloon, or...

Forensics had faxed over their full report and we went over it.

Ryan Ecworth was 6'5", 157#, normal musculature, had a size 12 1/2 shoe, 31" waist, 46" chest, with cropped blonde hair, green eyes. Yes, he had been stabbed HARD from behind through the rib cage and through the heart. Savagely, at least twice...then mutilated, decapitated and castrated. Lovely guy our suspect. Thorough and consistent, except for the blade through the back thing this time. Everything else was the same as with the other murder victims.

Ryan was as we also knew from the principal a way above average student with a 4.0+ grade average. He had been offered multiple scholarships, both sholastic and athletic. Captain of the Basketball team, a star runner and gymnast, and was also lead saxophonist in the high school band/orchestra. He loved Theatre, music, computers, and spoke English, French, and Italian fluently.

He was popular beyond imagination AND GAY, AND OPENLY SO, and nobody gave a fuck evidently as evidenced by Drew and Dylan  He was their best friend, and that opened up another line of inquiry which I wondered about but felt now was not the time. But the truth is all of the schoolmates they were close to were turning up dead, AND GAY. Hmmm.

No, LOL, I don't think they are suspect, but...I wonder...If it walks like a duck...

Ryan as I have said appears to have been a very popular kid and no one could be found who didn't like him which made the search for his killer even more problematic.

His brother was a year younger and almost a carbon copy, bright as fuck and athletic as hell and also a very popular kid...and the sister was 9, and still in grade school so hardly a contender for suspect of the month.

Evidently the two brothers had always been extremely close and I suggested we have a meet-up as soon as possible. Rob agreed and so did the twins. OH GOOD, cause if the twins hadn't liked the idea...

Ummm...TOUGH. LOL.
